Colorado city’s tainted water kills one

ALAMOSA, CO — Salmonella bacteria found in this city’s water supply are being blamed for the death of one salmonellosis victim, according to an April 20 KOAT 7 report.

The victim’s age, name, gender and date of death have not been released.

Nearly 390 Salmonella-related cases have been reported since the first instance surfaced on March 7, according to an April 11 SantaFeNewMexican.com report. However, an April 21 NEWSInferno.com report puts that number higher, at 411 reported cases.

Salmonella taints Colorado community’s water

ALAMOSA, CO — Nearly 100 cases of salmonellosis have been reported here, and state health officials have linked the outbreak to the presence of Salmonella bacteria in the city’s water supply, according to local reports.

More than 30 cases of salmonellosis have been confirmed, and close to 50 other cases are under investigation, according to a March 20 KOAA-TV report.
