Chromium plume threatens big L.A. water source

LOS ANGELES — A well supplying drinking water to Los Angeles has been turned off due to the spreading of a contaminated groundwater plume that threatens an aquifer supplying 15 percent of the city’s supply, a May 28 MyFOX Los Angeles story reported.
