E. coli closes 10 schools in Washington State

OLYMPIA, WA — About 8,000 Bethel School District students were told their schools were closed on October 4 after the Spanaway Water Co. detected E. coli in two routine water samples and total coliform in a third, according to an October 4 King5 report.

The water company issued a boil-water alert to 20,000 customers in Pierce County on October 3.
